Darline Desca, finalist of the RFI Discovery Prize in 2015, is a native of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. As an author, composer and performer, she showed a special interest in music at an early age. She listens to the popular music of Haiti, Reggae, classic French songs and she has developed a taste for Jazz music. After her University studies, this young woman decided to embark on a professional music career. She released "A Plein Temps," her first solo album in 2013, to set out to make herself known in Haiti. Darline also participates in the most prestigious music and contemporary arts festivals of the Caribbean.
Darline Desca has played at the International Jazz Festival of Port-Au-Prince in Haiti, the Manatee Jazz project in Martinique, the World and Creole Music Fest of Dominica, the Carifesta, the Kayenn Jazz Festival in Guyana, the Cuba Disco in Cuba and much more. At the same time, the singer performs in the Dominican Republic and the United States in the student circles in trendy jazz bars. Today, she presents her new album called "RENDEZ-VOUS" to the public.
